Note:  "Near white" descriptions can be vague, so let me give you my observation on the color of this beautiful flower.  It is a light, pale, clear lemon yellow.  Its name is perfect, as it is "so lovely."  It's also fragrant.  A great performer and one of my personal favorites.  Love the backlit photo, taken when the sun was low and behind the flowers.
