We're now in the throes of Mid and Mid-Late bloom time! The early bloomers are resting and will rebloom in a few weeks. It's been said that the best fertilizer for daylilies is water, and if you can water them during the dry spells, you should have a decent rebloom cycle in your garden.
About a month ago, I received many calls from a lot of folks concerned with Leaf-Streak fungal disease. Here's a good link to information about it: https://www.daylilies.org/ahs_dictionary/leaf_streak.html. ; It must have been fairly prevalent this year, and I had to deal with it too. However, good news! Due to the heat, the fungus has dried up, those ugly leaves have been shed, and the daylily plants looks terrific again. For good measure, I remove those affected leaves and burn them.
It's getting hot out there, y'all.... Stay cool and water your daylilies!
