At this time of year as we remember the advent of the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, invite someone to church. Even if their house is ablaze with Christmas lights of all kinds, they may not have a church home. Remember the reason for the season, y'all.

Venezuela used to be a thriving, prosperous country. Then Hugo Chavez came in and steered it down the devil's path to socialism. Now look. The current president Maduro has just released the Fatherland Card program. You MUST have this card in order to receive any subsidies: groceries, health care and medicine, pensions, etc. The Fatherland Card.

Due to the extreme heat of May, the daylilies are playing out faster than normal. Hurry in this week to make your final selections, as we will be closing for the 2018 season this Saturday, June 9. We were scheduled to stay open through the month of June, but nature has had other plans!

We're now in the throes of Mid and Mid-Late bloom time! The early bloomers are resting and will rebloom in a few weeks. It's been said that the best fertilizer for daylilies is water, and if you can water them during the dry spells, you should have a decent rebloom cycle in your garden.
